Meet Bari. Bari likes to have fun. He's the product of an different "type" of childhood where he had been bounced around from family to family. It wasn't as if anyone wanted to keep him going around from home to home, but there was something "inside" of Bari that just down right scared most of them. You see, Bari is different in a lot of ways and many of those ways people just don't know or want to. There's a power, something unknown, inside of him. And the funny thing is, Bari doesn't know of the power, but knows someone or something is deep inside.......waiting.
Bari is a dick, straight up, without apologies, just outright a dick. If you don’t understand just why, then you haven’t read his story yet and need to hop on that right quick. In any case, let me make it easy for you. Bari was born in a situation of anger. It’s all he has ever known and grew up around. Anger to Bari is like breathing, something that he finds very normal in his life. Furthermore, at a very young age he watched his father, who was a demon; kill his human mother in a fit of anger. THAT THOUGHT, the one that shows what he went through as a child, what he has had to realize he also is, and the fact that his father took the one person who meant so much to him, is what drives Bari to push others away. He is afraid to get close, to develop any kind of feelings, and often “uses” people for short bouts of time before moving on. It’s nothing on any one he meets, but simply himself, because he can NOT afford to care. About anyone.
Now that Bari has been pulled from the “normal” life on Earth, into a world that has shown him that the Earth he knew, no longer is, he is having a hard time adjusting to just what his life has been, or what it meant. On top of that, Bari now fears the growing feelings he has for Mackenzie, a stranger from his past. The fact that his inner partner seems JUST AS INTRIGUED with Mackenzie scares the shit out of him. He will push and push, to get away from her, but what he doesn’t realize is the harder he pushes, the more he will test the control he has.....
Bari isn’t human, he’s a demon and he doesn’t realize just what that demon is or even just how big a part of it is inside of him.
