When FBI agent Trent Rossi arrives to investigate a chain of crimes—devastating murders and violent rapes—an inexperienced small town Detective, Charlie, who’s assigned to assist, finds her desire surging for the agent—only to realize he is the primary suspect.

A sleeping threat has awakened in the small town of Nyack. Crimes in the cozy village, garner the attention of the FBI, who assign two agents to assist Charlie in tracking down the sick and deranged perpetrator. Agents Trent Rossi and Dillon Echols work closely with Charlie, but as the crimes progress, dark secrets begin to cloud the air, blurring the line between who is on the side of the law and who’s against it. Being Charlie’s first major case, she’s unprepared not only for the menacing killer on the loose, but also with the unexpected feelings Trent draws out of her.

While Trent holds secrets, disappears at random, and seems to understand their perpetrator all-too-well, Charlie’s suspicions grow along with the pull she feels toward him. Her attraction could become fatal, yet she does not realize it until it is too late.

Answer my question in the comment section for a chance to win:

Ask for supervisor's name and contact info then do additional research on the agent preferably by someone who can bypass highly secure databases.

Badge #, superior's name and phone # so I could call and check up.
I would ask him about his mother and ask for her phone # so I could call her and ask about her son!

Are you the one committing these murders would be my first question, next I'll ask for his finger prints and DNA sample and finally I'll ask who could be setting him up. lavidabrisco(at)yahoo(dot)com

I honestly do not know. Anyone can say something they want you to believe. I would rather look at his body language. This is more telling that any words that will come out of his mouth.

I'm not sure what I would ask him. I would try to be nice and see if he would let his guard down and accidentally say something.

I'd ask for id and call his boss to confirm and get a description.
Ask for receipts for hotel or gas to show he wasn't in town during the previous killings.
If he was in town, ask for his alibi during pertinent times.

I don't know what i'd ask!! I'd make sure he was who he said he was & that was indeed his job! I would be keeping a close eye on him & have a weapon on me at all times lol.

Take care & I hope you have a great day! =)

Congrats on all of your success! Hmm! Good question! Id want to see his badge, call his employer, ask about him. I think after that, i wouldnt trust him, id keep a close watch on him. Anything i ask him, he could lie about. I think id be suspicious until he proves otherwise. Thank you for the fantastic hop!

1- Can I see your ID? (I'd get his ID (Badge & driver's license) - verify with his agency and scan and email the info to a close friend so if I went missing.....they'd know where to start looking.)

2- Can you get your mother or sister on the phone so I can speak with her?

3- Are you a sociopathic serial killer?

Thanks for the amazing excerpt & giveaway!
