Nothing is as it seems….

Temptation landed at Special Agent Larry Newman’s feet—literally. Charlene Smith captured his heart after he rescued her from terrorists two months ago. So what’s a guy to do when the woman he pines for passes out in front of him while working a case?

Battling psychological wounds from abduction is easier than coming face to face with the sexy FBI agent she’s fantasized about for months. A single mother, avoiding the drama that dating would bring to her son’s life, she allows Larry close only in her dreams. Now, she's second-guessing her decision. Should she have a relationship with this man who makes her feel alive just by being close?

New Release & Questions With Jennifer Wilck!

10/2/2014

Hi peeps! Today we have Jennifer Wilck talking about her new release and answering all kinds of questions! Please give a hearty welcome and congratulations to Jennifer!

Hi Jen! Can you tell us a little about your current release?

Miriam’s Surrender is the second book in my Women of Valor series. It’s a contemporary romance that takes place around the Jewish holiday of Passover. Although the the hero is the villain from book one, and the heroine is the sister of the first book’s heroine, it can easily be read as a standalone book.

What inspired this story?

I love reading all kinds of romance, but I’ve noticed that most romances are, by default, Christian. The hero and heroine get married in a church, the holiday celebrated is Christmas, etc. I enjoy those books, but it’s also nice to read diverse stories and I wanted to see what would happen if I made the default Jewish. The first book in my series was The Seduction of Esther. The villain in that story was Josh, and he was so much fun to write, and to redeem, that I wanted to give him his own book.

Today we have Jackson D'Lynne visiting and answering questions about writing, reading, and her new release! Be sure to give her a hearty welcome to my site!

Hi Jackson! Can you tell us a little about your current release?

Haven Edwards is a sensual, intelligent, 21st century diva with an “exotic” career. Wanting nothing more than to move past her ugly divorce, she attends an adults only Carnal-val where a strangely glowing pocket watch calls to her, compelling her to steal it. Overcome with its power, she winds it. A portal opens beneath her feet, and hurtles her back through time to 1817 where she crashes into the life of the very proper, very sexy, Logan Dunham. A duke with a deep distrust of beautiful women, Logan can’t understand his staggering desire for the woman with the quick wit, and jade green eyes—the woman who haunted his dreams long before they met.

Haven is determined to find a way home, but she can’t shake her hunger for the dark, brooding duke. Logan’s a duke, he’s out of her league, right? So why does her heart beat a little faster whenever he is near? Why does her mind conjure images of happily ever after?

One touch, and they are consumed by their desire. But before they can untangle their feelings for one another, a sociopath with a god complex and a knife fetish sets his evil intents on Haven. In order to save her life, Logan must destroy the demons of his past, and learn to trust a power he doesn’t understand. Can he get to her in time? Will the time-swept diva be lost forever, or will the diva get her duke?

Hot, new release called The Beast of Birch Hill - Naomi Clark Interview!

Today we have Naomi Clark visiting with her latest release! Please welcome her to my site and check out this hot, new read, and her answers to my questions!

Hi, Naomi! Tell us a little about your current release.

The seeds of the idea for this story came when my fiancé was working away from home a lot last autumn. Left to my own devices, I watched tons of documentaries like Monster Quest and Destination Truth – junky, but loads of fun! Since I’m already a huge fan of folklore and mythology, it felt natural to take the modern monster hunt theme of those shows and meld them with my own ideas about cryptozoology and how it might look in the real (well, fictional, I suppose) world.

ROCK ANGEL Released! 5 Rocking Good Stars + Jeanne visits!

I am so friggen excited to have Jeanne Bogino stopping by today, answering questions, and giving us a sneak peek into her new release, ROCK ANGEL.

Rock Angel had it all: sexiness, edginess, drama, and romance. Humor, hatred, bonding friendships, and the kind of knife in the heart betrayal. I was unable to put this book down, literally stayed up all night reading it. In the six years I’ve had my Nook, I haven’t read a paperback. I mean, who would when you can carry around your entire library on one small device. Well, earlier this year I attended BEA in NYC and had the pleasure of meeting Jeanne Bogino and obtaining an ARC of ROCK ANGEL. The cover is super chic and eye catching. I picked up the book, entirely intrigued by the cover, and for two days I couldn’t put it down. Despite having the paperback already, this book is on my MUST BUY list! Amazing writing, terrific characters, and a story you won’t forget.

I asked Jeanne to stop by and answer some questions, and the terrific woman she is, she agreed. So without further ado, please welcome Jeanne!

We Wander Far From Home Special Feature With Lilith Duvalier!

Today I have a treat for you all! Lilith Duvalier has decided to stop by and answer some questions for me, as well as share an excerpt of her new book! Please join me in welcoming Lilith!

Hi Lilith! Can you tell us a little about your new release?

I am very excited for “We Wander Far From Home”! It’s my first full length novel, and I’m very proud of the way it combines a nuanced love story with an old fashioned western adventure. I started this story in 2009 with the intention of submitting it to an anthology call, but the deadline flew by before I figured out how to finish it. I stuck it in a folder and forgot about it for a little over a year. Then I started taking it out every few months, writing another chapter here, doing some edits there and putting it away again. It didn’t really come together until January this year and I’m thrilled to see it published by Evernight!

Blurb

A crack shot best gal, a former criminal lover, a sudden ejection from everything he's ever known, and the faintest taste of freedom. That's what drives Will Kearny out of the comfort of a normal life and out into the Nebraska wilderness. Soon, the sweet, quiet dairy farmer from Minnesota is robbing stage coaches, knocking over banks and running off into the mountains to celebrate in Henry Fitzpatrick's arms.  But winter's coming on, the stage coach routes are drying up, and the law is onto them. Life on the edge is the only way Will and Henry can be together, but life on the edge is short. Can forbidden love survive in a harsh world?

Do you have a favorite hero and/or heroine in your books and why?

I think I’ll always love Jane/Anisette from the Promise of Silk. She’s strong and interesting and mysterious. Also, she was my first main character, in my first published story, and I think that’ll mean she always has a place in my heart.

What are you reading right now?

I’m reading Mysteries of Pittsburgh. It’s Michael Chabon’s first novel, he wrote it when he was 21, and it’s sort of the predecessor to every bad indie flick about boring Brooklyn bitches ever… but the ambience is really well written, and I loved Kavalier and Clay, so it’s interesting to see the growth of an author.

Spotlight on Slow Satisfaction with Cecilia Tan!

I've managed to get some questions answered by Cecilia in anticipation of her new release, Slow Satisfaction! After you've read her answers, be sure to check out her totally hot excerpt, and enter the contest below to win! Please welcome Cecilia Tan!

What gave you the idea for Slow Satisfaction?

Since Slow Satisfaction is the last book in a trilogy, I really wanted to reward readers for sticking with James and Karina. So I knew I wanted to resolve some of the issues between my dear hero and heroine relatively early, so that instead of it all being Karina versus James, we get to see two of them against the world. Their partnership is tested when someone threatens to "out" not only James's identity but their BDSM relationship to the world. The whole trilogy deals with themes of identity, of public versus private persona, of BDSM "roles" and societal expectations and I get to play with all those questions in this one.

Any fun research you'd like to share about the writing process for this book?

Thank goodness for the Internet! On a given day while working on this manuscript I looked up: songs done by the Bellagio fountains in Las Vegas, ballet terminology, real estate websites in New York City, time of sunset in August in Xenia, Ohio, and rope bondage instructions. I don't know which was more fun, the rope bondage videos or the online walk-throughs of mansions for sale on the Upper East Side of New York. I ended up using a real building as the basis for James's home. Gorgeous!

What made you decide to become an author?

I never decided to become an author. I declared I was a writer when I was about four years old and I've never wavered from that. No matter how many times my father asked me if I wanted to go to medical school!

If you were stranded on a deserted island, which two characters would you want to be there with you?

Hm, of my own characters? Stefan, who is James's bodyguard, would be useful, because he's had all kinds of survival training and that kind of thing. But if we're going to be there for a while, I'd have to pick Daron and Ziggy from Daron's Guitar Chronicles. As long as they were getting along when we got stranded. If they weren't, none of us might get off that island alive!

Biggest question of all...coffee...decaf or caffeinated?

Tea. Preferably loose leaf, oolong or golden tips. Anything with more caffeine than that (Coke, coffee, Red Bull, etc) has always sent my heart into palpitations. I can't even eat tiramisu if it’s soaked in real espresso.

Hot, Sexy, and In Control! Nina's Dom by Raven McAllan

Today I have my girl, and very talented author, Raven McAllan talking about her new release, Nina's Dom! The cover alone says so much: dark, mysterious, sexy....shall I go on?

I sat down with Raven and asked her a few questions. She had much to tell!

Tell me a little about your current release.

When I first wrote Master, a story set in Dommissimma, a BDSM club in Glasgow, I never really imagined how many people who went there needed their story told.

Nina's Dom is the fourth story, and how I love these two. It's about relationships and how people can connect with other. As ever I have a very feisty heroine who won't give in to my hero without a fight, and a determined Dom for a hero who knows exactly what Nina is and what she wants. Will he succeed in showing her? Ah well you'll need to read the book.
